Glenn was of the well scientifically backed opinion that if any song were to be truly the great, it would have to run no less than six minutes. Even if this song was considered to be uneventful and plagued with cheap filler, once it hit that magic six minute mark it became gold. "Six Minute Magic" was a jam between the boys of Friday After Work, and a search of the splendidness that comes with a track that runs over the magical six minute mark. In the original mix of this track I believe this song went over that magical mark by mere milliseconds.

The middle of the song contains a spacey interlude and exploration into rhythm, which by Glenn's schooling, was integral for mood and as a time filler. When that chorus line comes back in after a spacey two-minute interlude, you want to rock out hard! Magic.
